I had my first authorization for the year say it was accepted, when I went to AFR, the data request for the client was refused. I changed the name of the client by adding in a middle initial and I got the same response from CRA, but now I could get the clients data.
I had another new client's authorization say it was accepted, and I could not get at their data. I tried changing the name again and this time got a different message saying it could take up to 3 days to process, and I could not get into the data. I tried a third time and got a somewhat nasty message telling me not to try again, and I still couldn't get into the data. I have to assume here it is not a name thing.
CRA says it tries to authorize within 3 days. What does that mean - "tries"? And the responses are clearly not always appropriate for the submission. I know I am not happy about CRA changing our ability to get things done quickly by introducing "onstream checks" into the process and slowing down the ability to get returns processed. Help!!
