E-filing AUT-01 with Blank First Name – Intuit Profile Error (T815):

I am struggling to e-file an AUT-01 form using Intuit Profile due to the client's unusual name situation:

Client Name: No first or middle name, only the last name "John Doe".
Error Received: T815 ("taxpayer information entered does not match our records")

Attempts and Results:

Try 1: First Name: Blank, Last Name: John Doe --> T815 error
Try 2: First Name: John, Last Name: Doe --> T815 error
Try 3: First Name: John Doe, Last Name: Blank --> T815 error

Has anyone successfully e-filed an AUT-01 with a similar name situation? I've considered contacting the CRA directly but would appreciate insights from others with Intuit Profile experience. Are there workarounds or specific instructions for this scenario?

Try using period (".") as the first or last name.

Hello,

Did you have any luck with this situation. I have several signed authorization sitting waiting because I am getting T815 error. I have tried everything you tried but not luck,yet Efile tax return was accepted, problem with Authorization. Would apprecaite response.

We received the following from CRA:

Individuals with one name would be able to authorize a representative using the Manage Authorized Representative service in My Account or by completing form AUT-01 Authorize a Representative for Offline Access

There is no ETA for when CRA's system will accommodate it for Auth requests in the software.
