Anyone else having efile issues today? Every third or fourth file I try to send gives me back an error message "unable to get a response from the Government Agency" I have to close and try again. Sometimes more than once. My call to the help desk was less than helpful. Was told that the system must be busy. This has gotta be the worst tax season ever.

I can't efile. I'm getting this message:
EFILE Service responded with External Server Errors. Please try again later
CRA T1 EFILE service failed at returnCode=500
The EFILE transmission resulted in Server Error with Transaction ID :
Why isn't Profile posting an announcement to let us know what is going on?!!!
I just called the E-File Help desk and was told that the system was overloaded. I was also told that in spite of this (and the problems yesterday), no extension has been implemented.
Its because Profile is the only software having this issue, so no reason for them to justify extending deadline for everyone else

Yes been happening to me since 2pm PST. I get the odd one through and then right back to can't connect to CRA. Efile help desk said they are working with Profile on this but its getting a bit late in the day!
You're probably right, TaxCycle forums don't mention this problem.
Good question - they should be posting to let us know what they are doing an an approx time of the fix to happen.

What happens if the efile continues to give the message? Will profile be reimbursing all the late filing penalties?
it's only Profile - all other software is efiling fine - according to CRA
Profile is the only software having this issue and what's their response, some BS about high volume and Tech support all leaves for the day and leaves their Customers twiddling our thumbs for the rest of the night rather than trying to correct the issue,
same old support I've learned to expect from Intuit, Useless as usual
Turn it off than on again and if that don't work oh well not their problem,
than add in the no extension, the CRA going to make a Killing on late filing Penalties because of this
They said its not their issue and all my clients will be considered to have filed late. They said its a common profile problem So now what ??? I have not been able to file a singe return today.
efile help desk says its our problem , too bad for using Profile. I can believe profile went home WTF. OMG I have so many to file and the penalties are huge. Its only Profile that is having this issue they don't care obviously They all went home. Its because we are Canadian They only care about the USA users. That's the sad truth

Finally let me efile a few...seems like I get one or 2 through then blocked again....15 minutes later I get a couple more through....must be fewer users...best of luck - I have a feeling profile will be having to cover the penalties & interest to avoid any major backlash from this. I have used profile for years and never had a problem until this year.
I have been told by efile help to print every single one of the client error messages and save them to be submitted with the individual appeals of penalties and interest and there is no guarantee. Confirmed its only this INTUIT product Profile that is a problem. I am still working why aren't they don't they get it? This is really important , but they all went home. I am aggravated, stressed and angry

I just got one through Try it Keep fingers crossed
Efile is greyed out completely. Nothing can be filed from my end (west coast). I want a refund. Intuit Profile and cRA have completely fudged tax season 2024
