I'm getting this error on more than 1 return - I've done the math (a few times) and this error does not apply to this return - the math works, and the line values are correct. I've had to remove the $250 training credit (From S11, L4) in order to transmit with no errors, but then the taxpayer is not getting their credit :-(
561 : One of the following situations applies to your client's return:
1. You client's province or territory of residence is other than Quebec, Ontario, Saskatchewan. Alberta or Yukon – Line 59140 for provincial or territorial tuition fees must equal lines (32000 minus 45350 plus 32001). When line 32000 minus line 45350 is negative, then line 59140 must equal line 32001.
2. You client's territory of residence is Yukon – Line 59140 on the Schedule YT(S11) must equal to line 32000 plus line 32001.
Any ideas would help!
Hi, thank you for using Intuit ProFile Community
You should be able to claim the CTC if it was reported on the 2019 NOA. We have a couple of reports of this issue and are investigating. As you said, all the numbers and calculations are correct. We are in contact with CRA to see if there is an issue on their end. You could also try contacting the CRA efile help desk to see if they can tell you the issue they see on their end
Apologize for the inconvenience but hope this helps
I have this same error on a few returns..has a fix been determined?
I was still getting this error up to last night. My workaround has been to file without it, and then after the T1 is assessed, I go into the Rep a Client & change the line number through an adjustment. P.I.T.A. but it works.
I realize that new client/taxpayer was not entitled to CTC due to low income in 2019.
