I have a customer that works for the government in Ottawa and lives in Ontario. He has 2 T4s one with CPP and the other with a small amount of QPP. Both coming from the same job. why I don't know but he has these 2 T4s. when I put in both the QPP and CPP it doesn't seem to calculate either; and the tax bill to my customer was $1,752. CRA spit it back out telling me to fix a bunch of entries related to the CPP totals not matching… I tried one solution (they suggested) and it spit it out again. then I notice that if I deleted the 135$ Paid to QPP completely the tax bill dropped to 872$ and looking into it I saw that when I input both QPP and CPP it doesn't compute either one.. solution for now was to drop the QPP and file and CRA accepted the return. But there is something with the software I think, thoughts??
