I just got my first T183 signed electronically. I was following the instructions given by Profile Support here: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-ca/help-articles/new-filing-requirements-for-taxpayer... .
I navigated to the T183. The Year Month Day (“YYYY-MM-DD”) field and the “HH MM SS” field in Part F were blank, yellow and the EFILE error 901320 displayed.
I entered the time of signature and then the date of signature. Unfortunately, once I clicked “Enter”, the date was gone and the field reverted to “YYYY-MM-DD” (the “HH MM SS” field, although stayed completed, was yellow, too). I tried various ways to enter the date, used the F2 (override) key, but to no avail.
The bottom line is that I cannot e-file this return UNLESS I falsely answer the “Did the taxpayer electronically sign the T183” question "NO".
Any solution???

I just called Profile Support regarding this issue. We tried a number of things, but none worked. Eventually the agent told me to go to the T183 and clear the form. Once I did that, the problem disappeared and I was able to enter the date.

The problem with doing this though is that is unticks the 'Did the taxpayer electronically sign the T183?' box. Did Intuit support advise whether this is going to be addressed in a future release?
This problem occurred in a tax return that had been prepared before the current Profile version was released. Now I can enter date and time without any problems, so this issue has been fixed.
Hi, thank you for using Intuit ProFile Community
There are no issues with the T183 in 2020 T1. Although files do sometimes have issues, there is not a wide spread issue with the T183 that needs resolution.
I apologize for the inconvenience but hope this helps
Thanks...I have the most recent update installed and am still encountering the issue. Appears Intuit’s advice is to untick the box.
Hi, thank you for using Intuit ProFile Community
This may relate to having received the e-file error. Two suggestions:
1) Uncheck CRA errors in the file properties and
2) When the T183 is displayed on the screen, select clear form from the form menu, then re-enter the information the T183 including checking the e-signature check box. Note: always save the return before clearing a form.

I just completed a tax return that was started today, version 2020.3.0, the date will not hold on the form. Time stays but not the date.
So the solution is to lie and say No the T183 is not electronically signed? Sorry but that doesn't work for me.
Hi, thank you for using Intuit ProFile Community
There should be no issue completing date and time on a T183 before the return is e-filed. If you filed before those entries were made, try unchecking CRA errors in properties before making the T183 entries. If that does not work save the return then select form > clear form, while the T183 is displayed on the screen.
It is important that this works: if you continue to have issues making entries on the T183 call us at 1-800-452-9970 for an agent to investigate.
I apologize for the inconvenience but hope this helps
yes Intuit says to clear the form, this does allow you to enter the date and time on the T183 and you can efile without errors. The thing is that the boxes to indicate if this is signed electronic yes or no is empty. I don't call that a solution but a work around.
Hi, thank you for using Intuit ProFile community
Clearing the T183 does uncheck the e-signature box at the top of the T183 so it we need to be addressed as part of completing the T183 after clearing it.
I apologize for the inconvenience but hope this helps
Duncan I have updated Profile to version 2020.3.5 and there is no change. If you answer 'yes' to electronic signature you are not able to enter both the date and time.
Hi, thank you for using Intuit ProFile Community
There seems to be an issue with printing the T183 then locking the file. This is the only scenario identified that causes the time entry to stay but the date entry to not stick. The cause of this is under investigation.
Workarounds:
1) Sign off the error#1320 message in the e-file tab of the auditor. This allows some files to accept the T183 date entry
2)Print the T183 without a date, then enter a date, save and lock file. This should allow changing the date to match the signed T183
3) Do not lock files until all information is added including the T183 date and time are entered
Clearing the T183 will allow entries but changes the DCN so resigning is required. If your entering date issue is not related to printing then locking the return, call us at 1-800-452-9970 to investigate.
I apologize for the inconvenience but hope this helps
I have tried clearing the form and then reclicking "YES" on the electronic file and the date and everything works fine BUT it changes the DCN number to the new number whereas the document client signed electronically has a different DCN . Does that matter?
well technically no it doesn't change the tax return but it is not correct. Why the work around when it's a known issue? Fix it, I want it to be correct. We pay enough for Profile.
Hi, thank you for using Intuit ProFile Community
The ProFile development team is working on fix for T183 signing issues for ProFile 2020.4.0 targeted for the end of Mar 2021.
The recommended work around is to signoff the error 1320 in the auditor before attempting to enter the date. If you print the T183 then lock the return, date entry is an issue after the return is unlocked. Note with a DCN change after clearing form T183, the DCN may not have the same DCN in ProFile as the signed copy. This may cause issues with CRA.
I apologize for the inconvenience but hope this helps
