License Activated Units=3

I renamed the GreenPoint folder recently, but Profile requested me again to re-enter the product key (3 times in the same computer) and later I used gpsetup to repair corrupted file (HxTsr.exe) then my Windows 10 got crashed and it's mother board was gone. I bought new laptop and tried to use the same license key but I got the License Error Occurred which is Total Activatable Units=3.! How to over come such problem without paying for unnecessarily additional license? I hope ProFile will remove such 3 limits restriction in case the user used same IP. addressr

i bought a new laptop and had the same problem. you have to go in to your account and deactivate the license that you had originally. then reactivate it on the new one. if you need help just call support and they should be able to help you. good luck.

Thanks for your input. I can't Deactivate and Reactivate ProFile license in dead laptop or even copy the software like we used to do on DOS. My point is that once you successfully activated ProFile license 3 times in one computer regardless of computer crash or (Problem Reading License Data. Please Re-enter your License: ProFile Message), then try to activate it for fourth time in other computer, ProFile won't allowed you and as far I knew you need to buy new license, which is ridiculous and money grab.

Thanks again Mr. James Campbell. I would try tomorrow although I am skeptical because of flaws and restrictions specially with the ProFile Software  Problem Reading License Data and Re-enter it, which counted as another activation (Limits=3) !. The solution is simple if ProFile based the activation process on the IP. address and not on the computer hardware!. Since 2002 I never had such problem with any Windows version except with Windows 10 Pro. 4 days a go.

You need to call them at 1-861-3599 from 9:00 to 6:00 Pm ET. So they can reset it . After reset use the flexible licence future to get rid of Units=3 issue which cost me 14 hours a day work to clear a lot of tax returns backlog plus the files backups from the previous hard drive.

What is the purpose of such error message in context of flexible license function and why it's up to Units=3 and not to one or two! Any how I solved my problem in my way because I need badly to E-File some tax returns for some of my late filling customers as every years. Please don't mess up by forcing me or other clients to buy nonfunctional license till the mid of February either by your software Algo. or CRA. approval  process. Honour your license agreement till the end of December 31 each year, and that's it...!
