BMO Canada users encountering 377 connection error

SOLVEDby QuickBooks56Updated 1 year ago

In early February 2023, Intuit made some changes to the BMO Canada providers list to provide a more reliable connection between BMO Canada and QuickBooks Online.

The previous existing list of BMO Canada connections were the following:

Old provider name
Bank of Montreal - MasterCard (Canada)
Bank of Montreal (Canada)
Bank of Montreal Credit Card (Canada)
Banque de Montreal
Banque de Montreal Carte de Credit

As we are still in the process of migrating customers out through waves, currently only BMO Business users (with chequing, savings and credit card accounts) are supported by the new connection which must be logged in through a debit card.

Retail (Personal) users and other business users (who only have loan and investment accounts connected in QBO) will need to reconnect using one of the new connections we have added to our list.

New provider name
Bank of Montreal Canada - Business (Deposit, Line Of Credit and Credit Cards)
Bank of Montreal Canada - Business (Loans and Investments)
Bank of Montreal Canada - Personal
Banque de Montreal - Business (Deposit, Line Of Credit and Credit Cards)
Banque de Montreal - Business (Loans and Investments)
Banque de Montreal - Personal

Establish a connection with one of the new provider names listed above and you will be able to continue using your BMO Canada online banking with QuickBooks Online.
