Using the Pro Tax QuickBar search box

The Pro Tax QuickBar search box lets customers save time and effort by quickly finding and accessing Pro Tax actions and forms. This makes it the fastest way to prepare a return. As you search, you will see suggested results grouped by category. You can also launch any action from the QuickBar, making Pro Tax work easier.

QuickBar actions in Pro Tax

There are many actions available in the search bar including, but not limited to:

  • Add forms
  • Go to Workpapers
  • Import a gifi
  • Open forms
  • Add forms
  • Email a client
  • Print a return

  • Export to ProFile
  • Save and close a return

Access the QuickBar search box

  1. Open QuickBooks Online Accountant.
  2. Create a new return or select an existing T1 or T2 return.
  3. Select inside the QuickBar search box.
  4. Enter the search term in the search bar (for example “add forms”).
