In Profile, there is the question "is the mailing address the same as the home address". In my case the answer is no but where do I enter the mailing address?
You put the mailing address in the "taxpayer personal information" area at the top. There is no place to put the residence address. Years ago, you had to put a physical address for certain things (like northern residence deduction) and there are certain provinces now that have credits based on the physical address, but for most taxpayers just answer the question and move on unless the Profile auditor asks you for something else.
My client lives and pays rent at one location but because of mail theft he wants his mail sent to his parents house. I've told him that he can go online to get his mail but he doesn't want to go that route.
