Program will not, on occassion, permit going to the spouse. Must close the file and open under other spouse. Also every once in a while while trying to save an accepted return an access violation occurs and requires cancelling save and closing, then open up again
I experienced this particular problem a lot in the past years; I was unable to even save returns and had to close Profile using Ctrl/Alt/Delete. This tax season it has occurred on several occasions while I was fiddling with past years returns (more-less before 2018). I have reported this problem many times to Profile, but apparently no permanent solution is available.
I am having the same problem. Tried on several files including prior years. How do we resolve this?

Since all the icons on the top toolbar also become inoperable except for the "open an existing file" I clicked on that and lo and behold it brought them back to life. I would welcome a more appropriate and permanent resolution.
