My client received dtc approval for her disabled son. I was able to transfer the credit, and make other relevant claims, up to and including 2017, the year he turned 18. After that, although the T1ADJ form in profile shows amounts on certain lines (305/30400, 30425), I’m unable to populate those lines when I use “adjust my return” on the grounds that those lines are not valid in my case. My client is divorced, so can anyone explain why she might not be able to claim an amount on those lines? Thank you.
Do you have the child's return attached to the parent's? I haven't hit this before, but my guess is that the "elegible dependent" bit for a child over 18 - and other transfers - very much depends upon the returns being coupled. It's worth a try.

yes, returns are coupled. thx.
This may well be a case where you have to speak to a Profile person on the phone and try to sort out the issue.
yes. thx!
