Hello,
One of my friend get laid off from Nova Scotia and moved back to his hometown in New Brunswick. Is he allowed to claim Uhall and other moving expenses in hi personal tax return?
Solved! Go to Solution.
You can only claim moving expenses as a deduction against employment or business income earned in the new location. You can record the moving expenses incurred while moving back home, but they must be carried forward and only claimed when/if he starts working there.
