Just wondering if there are any other tax preparer's in this same situation. In recent months, a handful of our clients have received notices to file their 2020 T3 Trust Return. Some of them have gotten late filing penalties applied. The returns in question have been filed on time and we have the confirmation printed as backup. One CRA agent advised there is nothing they can do about it and now we must file a notice of objection. I am curious to know if any others have had the same issue? It is a Profile issue? or CRA?
If you open the returns and go toFile Properties, you should see which date it was EFILED. Also , on the INFO page, under the Filing section, you should see the confirmation number.
You coud call CRA and ask them to retrieve the details based on the confirmation number.
