My tabs are not showing up when I open a tax return. I don't know if it is something I need to change in my options but when I open up a current or previous tax return my tabs are not there. When I first open profile I have tabs but as i continue reviewing tax returns the tabs disappear and the only way i can get them back is to close profile and reopen it. I am reviewing several tax returns a day and I do not want to have to keep doing this. Please advise what I need to do to correct this. Thanks
THe tabs are supposed to be saved with the files. If you save a File and reopen it, you should be seeinfg the same tabs. There is also an option in Optiond Environment File to adjust the maximum number of tabs that can be displayed
Yes I have my preparers save with tabs open and the maximum tab numbers is set to 40 so that is not the problem. It just seems that as I work in Profile the tabs will just stop showing up. Once I exit profile and reopen the same tax return then suddenly the tabs reappear. So basically I am forced to close profile and reopen it every time this happens just so I can see the tabs which is frustrating.
I have the same problem but it's not all the time. Sometimes it's one person in a couple sometimes, it's both person...
Is this reproduceable @Michel-Pothier
it's random... as soon as I will have one, I will send the file
I'm also having this issue and it's driving me crazy. Save and close a return with 15+ tabs open, reopen file and only the "info'" tab is open. As far as I know, all the same "environment options" have been selected from the previous year and it worked just fine last year.
You could try renaming the Greenpoint folder in the registry @lowell . See this article on how to rename the Greenpoint folder
i'm having the same problem. when i reopen a file, only 3 tabs show (T1,T4,Info), regardless of how many were open when i saved the file.
Just wondering if there has been a solution to this problem. It is happening more frequently then it was before and is very frustrating.
pls ensure that "save desktop" is checked in options/environment/file...
Yes Save Desktop is on
I am having the same problems and it is extremely frustrating.
