Resubscribe to or reactivate QuickBooks Online

by Intuit205 Updated 1 week ago

Need to resubscribe? No problem! We'd love to have you back.

You should be prompted to resubscribe as soon as you sign in to your QuickBooks Online company. If not, follow the steps below.

Note: You have to use the same payment method and billing frequency you had on your previous subscription to resubscribe. You can switch to a different payment method and billing frequency after resubscribing.

Step 1: Resubscribe

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Select Settings Settings gear icon., then Subscriptions and billing.
Highlight of the Subscriptions and billing option in the Settings menu of QuickBooks Online.
  3. For your QuickBooks plan, select Resubscribe, and enter the updated billing info.
Highlight of the Resubscribe button found in QuickBooks Online.
  4. Select Subscribe.

Step 2: Check the Next charge date

  1. Sign out, then sign in again.
  2. Select Settings Settings gear icon., then Subscriptions and billing.
Highlight of the Subscriptions and billing option in the Settings menu of QuickBooks Online.
  3. Check the Next charge date. If it's a date in the past, contact support to prevent back-billed charges from occurring.

Frequently asked questions

No. It's our policy not to back-bill.

We preserve your company data for 365 days following the cancelation date. If you resubscribe during that time, your data will still be available.

Billing for all QuickBooks Online accounts happens overnight, so the charge won't occur until after midnight.

For example, if you resubscribe on 6/1/2022 , the next charge date would be 6/2/2022, and the charge would occur very early on 6/2/2022.

The Subscriptions and billing area is currently only available in the web version of QuickBooks Online, so you'll need to sign in using a computer browser.
