How to unzip a file
If you were sent a zipped file (a file is typically zipped, or compressed, to decrease its size and make it easier to transfer), unzipping the file is typically quick and easy. See the support article for your device:
How to open a .json file
If you were sent a file in a .json format, you’ll need to use the correct application to review its content. Do the following:
- Right-click on the .json file and select Open with.
- Windows: Select Notepad from the list of apps.
- MAC: Select TextEdit from the list of apps.
- The file should now open in the selected app.
How to wrap text
You can improve the readability of your data by wrapping its text. This is a feature that automatically moves a word that is too long to fit on a line to the beginning of the next line. To take advantage of this feature, follow the steps pertaining to your device:
Windows:
- In the Notepad app, go to Format and select Word Wrap.
- The text now wraps within the Notepad window.
