Set Account Details

by Intuit Updated 1 month ago

Edit your account details to change important settings that affect your campaigns, audiences, billing, and more. This includes your account name, time zone, currency format, industry stats, and default email builder. You can also choose which emails you want to receive from Mailchimp.

In this article, you'll learn how to change the detail settings for your account.

Access account details

You’ll find the Details page in your account settings. Account Owners and Admins can enable notifications to send an alert via email or SMS when a change is made to your account details. This is optional, but we recommend enabling notifications for account security.

To access your account details, follow these steps.

  1. Click your profile icon and choose Account.

  2. Click the Settings drop-down and choose Details.

Here, you'll see sections where you can edit different types of account details.

Edit account name, region, time, and currency

In the Details section, view or change your account name, set your region and time zone, choose a preferred date and time format, choose a weekly start day, and set a default currency format. Then, click Save to confirm your changes.

Here’s an overview of how we use the settings in this section.

  • Account name

View or update your account name. This name isn't visible to contacts. Your account name appears at the top of your profile menu and on the login page.

  • Region and Timezone

Use the drop-downs to set your region and time zone. We'll use your time zone to display times for campaign sends, imports, and signups.

  • Date and Time Format

Choose the date and time format for your account. Dates and times will display in campaigns, audience creations, and date fields in an audience.

  • Currency Format

Choose the default currency format for the billing pages in your account.

Share stats with Mailchimp

In the Help us improve your stats section, click the drop-downs to set your industry type, as well as the size and age of your organization. We use this general, anonymous account data to help Mailchimp tools make better recommendations. For example, we might use this data to help us determine the best times to send a certain type of marketing email, or how your open rate compares to similar companies. Click Save to keep your changes.

Set your default email builder

By default, you’ll design your email in the new builder unless you’ve chosen the classic builder previously. In the Default Email Builder section, choose between New Builder and Classic Builder. We’ll display a check mark on your account’s current default.

For more information about each builder, check out Design an Email with the New Builder and Design an Email with the Classic Builder.

Receive emails from Mailchimp

In the Manage Your Email Preferences section, you can opt in to receive emails with information such as send confirmations and a weekly summary of your audiences. Check the box next to each one you'd like to receive, then click Save.

Manage automatic replies

If you don’t want to receive out-of-office or vacation responses from your audience, navigate to the Manage automatic replies section and check the Reject automatic replies to my campaigns box. Then, click Save.
