About Landing Pages
by Intuit• Updated 2 months ago
Landing pages are standalone web pages that your contacts or potential contacts “land” on when they click a shared link in an email, ad, social post, or other location on the web. Marketers typically use landing pages to achieve specific, short-term goals. For example, you might create a landing page to promote a limited-time offer or host a signup form.
In this article, you'll learn how landing pages work in Mailchimp, and how you can use them to streamline your marketing.
How landing pages work in Mailchimp
In Mailchimp, landing pages live alongside other campaign types. They’re free to all Mailchimp users, so build as many as you need. Collect email and subscribed SMS contacts on your landing page. You’ll need an approved Mailchimp SMS Marketing program to add new SMS contacts.
To get started, click the Create button on your Mailchimp dashboard, then click Landing Page. Name your landing page and select your audience. Next, choose a template and use our landing page builder to design your pages. For detailed steps, check out Create a Landing Page.
The landing page builder works like our email designer with similar control over your layout and content blocks. The biggest benefit? Our landing page templates are simple and easy to use, but the impact can be huge.
How to use your Mailchimp landing pages
All published landing pages are live on the web and have a unique URL, so you can share them in other campaigns and marketing materials.
Use with other campaigns
Landing pages are versatile, so you can pair them with other Mailchimp campaigns to target contacts in all phases of your marketing plan. You can even create an ad with a call to action (CTA) button linked to your landing page. To learn more, check out Promote Your Landing Page.Share on social media
Create a social post on Facebook, Instagram, or X (formerly Twitter) to drive traffic to your page without ever leaving your Mailchimp account. Or, copy your landing page URLs and share it on social networks.Tag contacts at signup
Landing pages with a signup form can add up to 5 tags to contacts who subscribe. Assign new or existing tags to organize similar contacts in your audience. To learn how to create tags for your landing page, check out Create, Add, or Remove Tags.Segment contacts based on landing page activity
Further organize your audience with segments based on the contacts who signed up or didn’t sign up via a specific landing page. To learn more, check out All the Segmenting Options.
