Use Intuit Intelligence in Intuit Accountant Suite: Accelerate to spot the clients with the most significant financial changes and compare data across your entire client portfolio.
Intuit Intelligence reviews your client list and surfaces the clients that need attention first, so you don't have to open every file to see what changed. From your firm's Home dashboard, you can see the five clients with the biggest financial changes, then jump straight to the issue. On the Accelerate tier, you can also ask questions that compare data across many clients at once. This article covers how to review your portfolio summary, ask cross-client questions, and fix common issues.
| Note Intuit Intelligence cross-client insights are part of Intuit Accountant Suite: Accelerate. Asking questions about several clients at once is currently in beta and available on the Accelerate tier only. On the Core tier, Intuit Intelligence answers questions about a single specific client you've named in chat. |
Review your portfolio summary
Intuit Intelligence automatically reviews your client list and surfaces the five clients with the most significant financial changes. It looks at signals like disconnected banks, unposted transactions, and past-due accounts receivable, so you can prioritize your work.
Go to your firm's Home dashboard.
Find the Cross Client Portfolio Insights widget.
Select See why next to a flagged client to open Intuit Intelligence.
Review the root cause analysis from Intuit Intelligence.
Select a provided link to go straight to the transaction or issue in that client's QuickBooks Online file.
| Tip To look beyond the top five clients, select View more client Insights in the widget to open your Client Insights Hub. |
Ask cross-client questions
On the Accelerate tier, you can ask Intuit Intelligence to build lists, benchmark data, and compare performance across several clients at once. You can also ask follow-up questions in the same chat to refine the results or dig deeper into the analysis.
Select the Intuit Intelligence icon to open the chat panel.
In the text box, type a question about your portfolio. For example: “Which of my clients have broken bank connections?” or “Identify which of my clients have had an increase in transaction volume over 25% in the last quarter.” Then press Enter or select the send icon to submit.
Review the list, then select a provided link to open a specific client file and resolve the issue.
Fix common issues
Why can't I ask questions about multiple clients?
Asking about several clients at once is part of the Accelerate tier. If you're on the Core tier, Intuit Intelligence answers questions about a single specific client you've named in chat, not across your whole portfolio.
Why did Intuit Intelligence return unexpected data or formatting?
Cross-client questions are in beta, so Intuit Intelligence works best with high-level metrics like bank connections, unposted transactions, and accounts receivable and accounts payable aging. It can compare top-level figures across clients, but it can't drill down into transaction-level detail. If you ask a highly complex or non-standard question, it might not compile the data accurately, so try focusing on a high-level metric. Because this feature is in beta, you can rate any response with thumbs up or thumbs down to help improve Intuit Intelligence.
