Small businesses use QuickBooks for recording bills and managing their finances. QuickBooks offers Bill Pay, a built-in solution, to automate bill recording and payments.
Learn how to upgrade or downgrade your plan, understand your fees and, cancel your subscription.
Modify your subscription plan
Whether you choose to upgrade or downgrade your plan mid-cycle, you’ll have access to the new plan benefits immediately. A plan upgrade results in an immediate prorated charge (including applicable taxes and fees) for the remainder of the billing cycle. If you choose to downgrade, we’ll credit you an amount to cover the rest of the billing period.
Your next billing cycle for any plan modification will be shown in the billing summary before you confirm the change.
To upgrade your plan, follow these steps:
- Select the gear icon.Â
- Select Account and Settings.
- Select Billing & subscription from the left panel.
- Locate your Bill Pay subscription and select Upgrade your plan.
- Identify your desired plan and select Choose plan.
- Review the billing information and select Change plan.
To downgrade your plan, follow these steps:
- Select the gear icon.Â
- Select Account and Settings.
- Select Billing & subscription from the left panel.
- Locate your Bill Pay subscription and select Downgrade your plan.
- Identify your desired plan and select Choose plan.
- Review what will change and select Continue.
- Review the billing information and select Change plan.
Cancel your subscription plan
If you choose to cancel your subscription, you will retain access and the ability to make payments through the end of your billing cycle. Subscription payments will be canceled after the end of the billing cycle. You can view your data as long as you have another active subscription. If you don't have an active subscription then you can still view your data for one year after the subscription ends.
To cancel your plan, follow these steps:
- Select the gear icon.
- Select Account and Settings.
- Select Billing & subscription from the left panel.
- Locate your Bill Pay subscription and select Cancel subscription.
- Review what will change and select Cancel plan.
- Select Yes, cancel.
If you change your mind about canceling your subscription, you can revoke the cancelation by selecting RESUME under your QuickBooks Bill Pay subscription.
