Find out how to view and manage your company snapshot in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.
Your company snapshot gives you an overview of how your business is doing. You can quickly see trends in your income and expenses, who owes you, reminders of things to do, and the balances in your accounts.
Explore your company snapshot
Here’s how you can access and view your company snapshot.
- Go to the Company menu, then select Homepage.
- Select Company Snapshot.
- View the data you need.
- Select the column title to sort any column.
- Select the top of a column, then drag to rearrange a column.
- Select the data within graphs to see its details.
- Select the View ▼ dropdown menu on graphs to display data in days, months, or years.
Customize your company snapshot
To highlight the data you want to view, you can easily customize your company snapshot. Here’s how.
Add a widget
- From your Company Snapshot window, select the customize icon.
- Select and drag a widget to your snapshot.
Remove a widget
- From your Company Snapshot window, select the customize icon.
- Select the X icon of the widget.
Note: You can restore your snapshot to its original settings. Just select the customize icon, then select Reset.
Add reminders in your company snapshot
To make sure you’re updated with your transactions, you can add reminders in your snapshot.
Here’s how you can set up reminders so can add them to your company snapshot.
- From the QuickBooks menu, select Settings.
- In the Settings window, select Reminders.
- Set the preference to show the information you want to see in your reminders.
- Close the Preferences window.
