Onboard a client to a Books close template

Overview
Use the Books Close feature in Intuit Accountant Suite to manage your clients' month-end closing procedures efficiently. Assigning a client to a predefined template ensures consistency and helps track progress.
Prerequisites
- Only the primary and company admins have default access to onboard a close client. Your firm can provide this access to other team members by editing access control settings for Books Close.
Assign a client to a Books Close template
Follow these steps to onboard your client:
- In Intuit Accountant Suite, select Books close.
- Select Onboard close client.
- In the Onboard close client window, select the Client dropdown and choose the client you want to onboard.
- Select the Close template dropdown and choose the template you want to assign to this client.
- Select the team member(s) who will be assigned to manage this client's close process.
- Select the Period dropdown and choose the closing timeframe you want to set up.
- Select Save to finish onboarding, or select Save and start close to begin the closing process for the selected period immediately.
Result
The client is now assigned to the selected Books Close template for the specified period. Assigned team members can begin working on the closing tasks.
