Authorize Intuit as your Hawaii unemployment Third Party Agent

SOLVEDby QuickBooks34Updated January 20, 2024

Learn how to authorize Intuit to act as your payroll agent in Hawaii (HI).

When you set up your new payroll service, or when you add a new employee in HI, you need to authorize us as your payroll agent with the state.

The Hawaii Unemployment Insurance division requires you to do this through their website. Once you do, we'll be able to send electronic payments and forms on your behalf through any of our payroll products. This takes just a few minutes to complete.

Note: Not sure which payroll service you have? Here's how to find your payroll service.
  1. Create a Hawaii Unemployment Insurance online account.
  2. Contact us to let us know you've created your account. We'll send the Hawaii unemployment division a request to access your account. Once Hawaii receives our request, they’ll email you about our request.
