Recover Username or Reset Password

If you forget your Mailchimp username or password, we’ll help you find the information you need to access your account.

Before you start

Here are some things to know before you begin this process.

• If you don't have access to the email address on file for your account and need to reset your password, use your verified phone number to update the email address that receives the password reset email. To learn how, read Recover Account With SMS Text Verification.

Recover username or email address

Recover your username with the email address or mobile number connected to your Mailchimp account. If you use mobile, recover your email address connected to your Mailchimp account.

Recover username by email

To recover your Mailchimp username by email, follow these steps.

1. Open the Mailchimp login screen.
2. Click Forgot username?
3. Click Recover using the email address on your account.
4. Enter your email address, then click Recover Username.

You'll receive an email from Mailchimp that contains the username(s) attached to the email address you entered. If you don't receive this email within 2 hours, check your junk or spam folder.

In the email, click the linked username. If you have more than 1 username, click the linked username you want to recover. We’ll automatically fill in your username on the login screen.

Recover email address by mobile

To recover your Mailchimp email address using a mobile device, follow these steps.

1. Open the Mailchimp login screen.
2. Click Forgot username?
3. Click Recover using the mobile number on your account.
4. Choose your country from the drop-down, then enter the mobile number connected to your account.
5. Click Recover Username to send a verification code to the mobile number you entered.
6. In the Verification code field, enter the code you receive then click Recover Username to display the email addresses attached to the mobile number.
   

Reset password

If you forget your Mailchimp password, we’ll send password reset instructions to the email address attached to your Mailchimp account. For security reasons, we don't store password information, so we can't give you the existing password on your account.

To reset your Mailchimp password, follow these steps.

1. Open the Mailchimp login screen.
2. Click Forgot password?
3. Enter your username, then click Reset Password.
   

If you don't receive password reset instructions within 2 hours, check your junk or spam folder.
