Move your QuickBooks Desktop Payments to QuickBooks Online
Learn how to move your QuickBooks Payments subscription to QuickBooks Online with your Desktop file.
Check out QuickBooks Payments rates and apply. Then, you can automatically process payments, deposit funds and record transactions in your books.
When you move your QuickBooks Desktop company file to QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Payments will automatically transfer over if your QuickBooks Online account admin email has admin-level permissions on the Intuit account.
Here’s how to set your QuickBooks Online email ID as admin on your Intuit account:
Open your QuickBooks Desktop company.
Go to Company, select Users, then select Intuit Account User Management.
Sign in with your Intuit account credentials.
Go to Users.
Find the QuickBooks Online admin email in the list:
If email found:
a. go to Action, select Edit, then set the Role to Secondary Admin.
If email not found:
a. select Add User.
b. Enter the QuickBooks Online admin email ID.
c. Select the role as Secondary Admin.
d. Select Add user.
When prompted, enter the verification code sent to the admin's phone number to confirm.
Select Send Invitation to notify the user.
Select OK to close the confirmation.
You're now ready to move your QuickBooks Desktop file to QuickBooks Online. QuickBooks Paymentswill automatically attach to your QuickBooks Online account.
