Learn about the latest project reports exclusively for QuickBooks Online Advanced.
QuickBooks Online Advanced now offers reports geared toward project-based businesses. These include:
- Estimates vs Actuals (for a specific project or all projects)
- Work in Progress (for all projects)
- Estimate and Progress Invoicing (for all projects)
What to know about these reports
Estimates vs Actuals (specific project or all projects):
- Estimated costs/income: What you predict you'll spend and make on a project, or all projects.
- Actual costs/income: What you really spent and made for a specific project, or all projects.
Work in Progress (for all projects):
- See the progress of your project at a glance.
- View the percentage of what you spent so far versus your estimate.
Estimate and Progress Invoicing (for all projects):
- View the percentage of what you’ve earned so far versus your estimate.
- Stay on top of project billing and know what your customer paid.
How to run these reports
From the Projects tab:
- Go to Projects (Take me there).
- Select any project, then Project Reports.
- Select an individual report for the current project or Reports for all projects.
From the Reports tab:
- Go to Reports (Take me there).
- Search for and open one of these project-based reports.
- Customize as needed.
