Track the total sales for each salesperson without Class/Location tracking

You may want to track the sales of your salesperson for the month for the commission payout, but you have already used the Class/Location tracking for other purposes.

These instructions apply only if you have used the Class or Location tracking for a salesperson for another purpose.

Prerequisites

Before you can track these sales, you must add a new field for the salesperson responsible for a given invoice.

  1. Go to Settings Settings gear icon. and select Custom fields (Take me there).
  2. Select Add field.
  3. Create a field named Salesperson.
  4. For the category, select Transaction.
  5. Check the box next to Invoice, but turn off Show on form.
  6. Select Save.

Record the salesperson responsible for the invoice

To record the sales for the salesperson without Class/Location tracking:

  1. To record the sales for the salesperson without Class/Location tracking:
  2. Select + New.
  3. Select Invoice.
  4. Complete the invoice normally. 
  5. Enter the Salesperson responsible for the invoice.
  6. Select Save and close, or Review and send if you want to send it.

Track the total sales for each salesperson

To generate the total sales made by the salesperson for a particular period:

  1. Go to Reports (Take me there).
  2. Select Invoice list.
  3. Select Columns, then More Columns.
  4. Under Custom Fields, select the box next to Salesperson.

You can filter for a specific salesperson as with any other field.
