SOLVEDby QuickBooks193Updated April 24, 2023

Learn how to troubleshoot printing problems in QuickBooks Online Payroll.

If you encounter issues when trying to print paychecks, pay stubs, or payroll forms in QuickBooks, it can be due to printer, browser, or software issues.

Here’s how you troubleshoot printing issues.

Print and reprint paychecks, pay stubs, or payroll forms

With QuickBooks Online Payroll, you can print or reprint paychecks in a QuickBooks-compatible voucher or print pay stubs on plain paper.

You can also access your payroll tax forms anytime to print and reprint them for your records.

Fix printing alignment for QuickBooks-compatible checks

If you use QuickBooks-compatible checks, you can adjust its alignment. Check out Fix print alignment for preprinted checks to learn more.

Fix browser and software issues

We recommend you clear your cookies or browsing data for optimal browser performance. Depending on which browser you use, go to settings and clear the browsing history.

Occasionally, certain updates reset the default settings to a pop-up blocker on your browser. To disable pop-up blockers, follow:

Adding Intuit as a trusted site prevents your browser from potentially blocking site content.

To print paychecks or view forms, you need to install and register Adobe Acrobat or Reader.

On your computer, check if you have the Adobe Acrobat Reader installed. If none, visit adobe.com to install the latest version of this program.

Fix printer issues

If you have multiple printers on your network, check if the printer you want to use is set as the default printer.

If your pay stubs or forms aren't  centered on the page,  you may be able to achieve a better fit by changing the page scale.

After selecting Print, select Shrink to Printable Area from the Page Scaling dropdown.

Still unable to print paychecks, pay stubs, or forms? Try saving them to your desktop, then Print from there.
