QuickBooks Desktop Mac Plus 2022 lets you manage your receipts. This way, it’s easier for you to import receipt data, categorize it, then match or add transactions. Here’s how. 

If you're new to QuickBooks, here are features you can use.

Step 1: Import your receipts

You can import receipts as a PDF or an image. You can also upload multiple receipts if you need to.

  1. In QuickBooks, select Vendors.
  2. Select Receipt Management.
    Note: You might have to enter your Intuit ID info.
  3. Select +, then select Upload Receipts or Scan.
  4. Browse and select receipts, then select Open.

Step 2: Add and match your receipts

Once you upload your receipts, you can add or match them with what’s in QuickBooks. Here’s how.

Create an attachment library

If you haven’t yet, create your attachment library before you add or match your transactions.

  1. In QuickBooks, go to Preferences.
  2. Select Attachments.
  3. Select Attachments library ▼, then select Create New.
  4. Select a name and location for your attachments library.
  5. Select Save.

If your transaction is in QuickBooks

  1. In Receipt Management, select Matches.
  2. Select the transaction, then select Match.

If you just added the transaction in QuickBooks

  1. In Receipt Management, select Details.
  2. Fill in the required info. You can also enter additional info.
  3. Select Add to Register.
