When accessing web based services (i.e. Merchant Services) within QuickBooks, a connection to the web is made.
QuickBooks can be configured to either automatically connect each time or prompt for a password each time such a connection is made.
To change this setting perform the following:
1. In QuickBooks go to the Edit drop-down menu.
2. Select Preferences.
3. Click on Service Connection.
4. Open the Company Preferences tab.
5. Select the appropriate option to either Automatically connect or Always ask for a password.
6. Click the OK button to save the settings.
