Rehire an employee in Intuit QuickBooks Workforce

If you have an employee returning to work for you, you can rehire them in Intuit QuickBooks Workforce to keep their historical records and resume paying them.
What you’ll need
As part of the rehire process, get the following info from your employee:
- Federal Form W-4, and state withholding form if applicable
- Federal Form I-9
- Direct deposit info, including the bank routing and account numbers
- E-mail address
- Updated pay info and work locationÂ
Rehire your employeeÂ
- Go to All apps
, then Team, then Employees (Take me there). - Select Add an employee.
- Select Rehire, then choose your employee.
- Enter or edit your employee’s email address.
- Select Continue to onboard.
- Complete the onboarding workflow.
Results
Once you complete the workflow, your employee will be listed as active in QuickBooks, and you can include them in upcoming pay runs.Â
