Set clock in and out reminders in QuickBooks Time

Learn how to set up your company or team member clock-in and clock-out reminders in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Time.

Notes:

  • Only account admins can manage these settings. If not, you can manage your own settings
  • If notifications are set to send through both SMS and push, only a push notification will be sent to the team members' mobile devices.
  • If both SMS and push notifications are set by a team member, they’ll receive both types.

Set reminders

QuickBooks Online

  1. Go to Settings ⚙, then Account and settings.
  2. Select Time.
  3. From the Notifications section, select Edit and make the corresponding changes needed for:
    • Clock in Reminder
    • Clock out Reminder
    • Days the reminders are sent
    • Notification for when a clock in/clock out is adjusted
    • Notification when notes are added or edited
  4. Select Save, then Done.

QuickBooks Time

For all team members

For all team members

  1. In QuickBooks Time, select Company Settings.
  2. Select Notifications, make your changes, and select Save.

For individual team members

For individual team members

  1. In QuickBooks Time, select My Team.
  2. Select a team member, then select Notifications.
  3. Make your changes, and select Save.
