Intuit’s QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program is available for accounting, bookkeeping, tax, and consulting professionals who provide services to third-party clients. It helps professionals like you, grow their practice while helping millions of QuickBooks users manage their businesses.

Important: All members in the QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program (“PAP”) are required to accept the terms and conditions of the Intuit Terms of Service for QuickBooks Online and the QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program Agreement, as well as these policies in this brand use guide.

  • You’re authorized to provide QuickBooks product knowledge and/or consulting – i.e., helping users to choose, lawfully obtain, install, set up, and use the software.
  • You’re not authorized to provide accounting or tax advice except in jurisdictions where you have expertise, state-based professional certification, and/or regulatory knowledge.
  • Paid phone-based technical support can’t be the primary focus of your business.
  • You’re not authorized to provide use of or access to an Intuit product in an application service provider, online hosting, or other similar arrangement unless you are a participant in Intuit’s Hosting Program.
  • You’re not authorized to market, quote, sell, license, lease, resell, distribute, or give any Intuit products or services to any government, agency, or office. In addition, prior to engaging in any transaction with any government entity, or with any governmental officials and/or employees acting in their official capacities such transaction must be pre-approved in writing by Intuit.
  • Do operate under your own business name. Don’t include any Intuit brand, element, or phonetic equivalent in your business name, business source identifiers, or any other materials.

  • Don’t include any Intuit brand or brand element like “QuickBookssupport”, “QBsupport”, or “Quicksupport” on your URLs.
  • Do display the following notice on any materials where the Intuit/QuickBooks name is mentioned:
    “Intuit, QuickBooks, and QuickBooks ProAdvisor are registered trademarks of Intuit Inc. used with permission under the QuickBooks ProAdvisor Agreement.”
  • Operate your business under one company name. Notify Intuit if you operate under multiple business names while participating in the ProAdvisor program.
  • Don’t brand your support or services as “QuickBooks”. This is only for support or services provided by Intuit. This includes websites, marketing and promotional materials, and domains, among others.
    1. Improper use: QuickBooks Support, QuickBooks Services, QuickBooks Training
    2. Proper use: Support for QuickBooks, ABC Company Services for QuickBooks Users, XYZ Company Training for QuickBooks Users
  • Have a unique business logo that isn’t similar to or an imitation/alteration of the Intuit logo.
  • Have your own business name/logo appear at the top of your website. Intuit brands, logos, and badges shouldn’t appear at the top of your website.
  • Your business name/logo must appear larger than any Intuit brand or logo on your website, emails, invoices, or marketing materials.
  • Don’t place the QuickBooks brand next to your company logo.
  • Use the Intuit QuickBooks logo only on materials that prominently display your company’s logo. Use of the QuickBooks logo is only permitted to refer to QuickBooks products and not describe your company’s services.
  • Don’t use the “Intuit” logo.
  • You can use the Intuit-provided QuickBooks ProAdvisor badge(s) subject to your valid certification and compliance with the program.
  • Don’t stretch or alter the Intuit-provided Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor logo.
  • Don’t use any Intuit website design elements nor any photos from an Intuit-owned website on your website.
  • Use plain text when referencing QuickBooks. For example, “QuickBooks software”.
  • You may use screenshots as set out from the Intuit Permission Policy.
  • Use only the following approved phrases to promote, advertise, market, or communicate your ProAdvisor status:
    •  “QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program Member”
    •  “Member of the QuickBooks ProAdvisor Program”
  • Don’t promote, advertise, market, or communicate yourself as an “Intuit Certified ProAdvisor”.
    • These types of statements or claims must always include “QuickBooks”, not “Intuit”.
    • Subject to valid certification and compliance in the program, use your own name followed by the term “Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor” when promoting personal credentials.
  • Don’t state or imply that you’re affiliated with Intuit in any way beyond your membership in the ProAdvisor Program.
    Don’t represent your company as “[The/An] Official certified ProAdvisor”.
  • Don’t state, imply, promote, advertise, market, or communicate that you’re working for or on behalf of Intuit or QuickBooks.
    • Don’t state or imply that you’re an exclusive partner of Intuit.
    • Don’t state or imply that you or your staff are employees or representatives of Intuit or official outsourcing partners of Intuit.
    • State your own business name when answering calls.
  • QuickBooks Certification is non-transferrable. Only individual Program Members who’ve passed the relevant certification course can represent themselves as QuickBooks Certified ProAdvisors.
  • Display your business/brand name as the primary element in advertisements, not Intuit brands.
    • Don’t use “QuickBooks”, “QB” or “Intuit” as a primary element, as in “QuickBooks Support”, but rather, lead with your business/brand name as in “XYZ Company - Support for QuickBooks”.
  • Don’t advertise services solely for paid phone-based technical support.
  • Don’t put “QuickBooks”, “QB”, “Intuit”, or any other Intuit brand element before/within the root domain or anywhere before the “.com” in visible URLs.
    For example, don’t use “QuickBooksXYZ business.com” as a visible URL.
  • Negative match for the following keywords: “QuickBooks”, “QuickBooks Online”, “QB”, and “QBO”. Bid only on keywords with a value-add statement like “QuickBooks Setup”.
  • You can’t bid on any stand-alone Intuit brands. For example: QuickBooks, QuickBooks Desktop Payroll, QuickBooks Payroll Enhanced, QuickBooks Enterprise, QuickBooks Online, QB, QBO, QBOA, QuickBooks Online Accountant, QuickBooks Desktop, Intuit QuickBooks, QuickBooks Desktop Pro, and so on.
  • Ads can't claim “24/7” availability.
  • The following phrasings can be used to describe the business relationship on your website. These phrases must appear in their entirety and in plain text and can’t be edited or modified. This list is complete. No other phrasings are approved at this time.
    • Independent QuickBooks Consulting Professional(s)
    • Independent QuickBooks Consulting Service(s)
    • Independent QuickBooks Professional(s)
    • Independent QuickBooks Service(s)
    • Independent QuickBooks Setup Services
    • Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor

      To avoid any doubt, the following phrases are prohibited:
    • Independent QuickBooks Bookkeeper

      Approved phrasings can’t be used as a company name, brand name or as a domain.

Note: Advertising includes, but isn’t limited to, social, sponsored, native, print, and/or website advertising.

  • Disclose the following business information on your website:
    • Business name, street address and contact information
    • Territories served
    • Services provided
  • Don’t promote, advertise, market, or communicate services as primarily phone-based technical support.
  • If asked by a customer/end-user, all individuals within your practice who assist QuickBooks end-users must disclose the physical location of the office from which they provide services.
