Create an Intuit user account

Learn how to create an Intuit account and connect all of your Intuit products.
All your info lives together in the Intuit Platform as part of your profile. Use your Intuit account any time you want to manage your:
- Data
- Subscriptions
- Privacy
- Settings for all of your QuickBooks
- And sign up for a new QuickBooks
Follow these steps if you need to access and manage your personal data from your Intuit Account.
Note: If your company admin plans to let you use the company file, you might want to create an Intuit account.
Tip: Intuit accounts are shared across all Intuit products. To use separate accounts for different products, create a new account with a different email address.
Note: If you see This email address is already taken, you might already have an account. Follow the I forgot my user ID or password steps in our account recovery article to get into your account.
If you've signed up for an Intuit product in the past
When you first sign up for a product, like QuickBooks, you enter an email address. This email address becomes your Intuit Account user ID. Use it whenever you sign up for Intuit products so everything stays organised.
Follow these steps if you’ve signed up for an Intuit product in the past, but weren’t prompted to create an Intuit Account.
- Go to the Intuit accounts page.
- Select the Create an account link.
- Enter your email address.
Note: If you see This email address is already taken, you may already have an account. Select the I forgot my user ID or password link and enter your email address. - Create a password, then enter phone number.
- When you're ready, select Create an Intuit Account.
We'll send you a link with instructions to verify your email address. Then you're all set.
