by Intuit• Updated 2 days ago
The Audit history serves as a record of all the changes made on a specific transaction. In the Audit history, you can find the following information:
- Who made the changes.
- When the changes were made.
- What the changes are.
| Note: | Only users with full access rights will be able to view the Audit history. |
To view transaction changes in Audit history:
- Open the transaction you'd like to investigate. For example, to open a sales transaction, such as Invoice or Estimate:
- Go to All apps
, select Sales & Get Paid, then select Sales transactions (Take me there). - Select View/Edit under the Action column.
Note: The above steps may vary depending on your transaction type.
- Go to All apps
- Select More actions or More.
Note: The option name may vary depending on the transaction type. For example, for Bill or Cheque, you may see a More option. - Select Audit history to open the Audit trail.
- By default, you will see the expanded view. For a side-by-side comparison, select Compare Versions from the View Mode â–Ľ dropdown, then follow the next steps.
Note: To see the expanded view again, select Show Timeline from the View Mode â–Ľ dropdown.
If you need to keep track of changes made to a company file, check out how to use Audit logs.
That's it. You now know how to view transaction changes in the Audit history.
