Use the Needs Attention experience in QuickBooks Online
by Intuit• Updated 1 week ago
Stay organised and manage your business by using the Needs Attention experience in QuickBooks Online. This experience is available on all QuickBooks Online plans.
This feature replaces the legacy Business Feed and Task Manager. It uses AI to show you exactly what needs your attention and what AI has already handled for you.
Learn about the Needs Attention experience
The Needs Attention experience serves as your central command centre for what you need to do next.
Needs Attention: A prioritised list of items that require your action. This includes overdue invoices, unreviewed transactions, and specific questions or action items assigned to you. Each item has a clear call to action (for example, Review the quote).
Done For You: Work that AI has already completed on your behalf, such as categorised transactions ready to post or a recurring invoice sent automatically. Each item shows a timestamp and who completed it, so you can review it whenever you're ready.
Access your tasks
You can access the Needs Attention experience throughout QuickBooks:
- Homepage widget: When you sign in, a widget on your dashboard shows a real-time count of what needs action. This widget shows your top 4 highest-priority items.
- Dedicated page: Select View all from the homepage widget to open the full-screen page, where you can sort and filter your complete list of tasks.
- Tasks icon
: Select the tasks icon
to open the Needs attention pane from anywhere in QuickBooks. - Overview pages: On some Overview pages, such as the Customer Hub, a version of the widget shows the Needs Attention and Done for you items related to that area.
How do I access this on my phone?
If you use the QuickBooks mobile app, your tasks will appear on your mobile homepage.
The QuickBooks mobile app experience surfaces a bit less "work done for you," but you can view all items on your mobile browser.
