QuickBooks Self-Employed Android Subscription Refund (Google Play)

In accordance with Intuit's 60-day money-back satisfaction guarantee, QuickBooks Self-Employed offers refunds on products purchased from app stores for a period of 60 days from the purchase date. Please understand that refunding the customer’s subscription will automatically cancel their account as a refund indicates they will no longer be using the product. Please note: refund policy applies to US region.

In admin, the options to cancel and refund are available in the Subscription Info section if the Subscription Status is Subscribed . This allows us to refund 1 month’s charge for QBSE. If the customer requests more than 1 month, they need to provide the order number of the charges they’re requesting to be refunded. Google Play sends order confirmation emails to their customers. These emails contain the order number. The customer can also find their order number by following these steps:

  1. Visit http://payments.google.com/.
  2. Sign in to your Google account.
  3. On the left, click Subscriptions and services.
  4. Click View purchases.
  5. Copy the order numbers and send them to us so that we can track those orders and refund them.

The turn-around time that we have set for our customers is same day turn-around, however, if the customer requests a refund on a Saturday or Sunday, their refund will be processed the immediate Monday or Tuesday. It is the agent’s responsibility to escalate the customer’s request immediately so that Tier 2 and/or Supportability can process the request and meet the turn-around time as promised.

Did the customer subscribe through Apple’s App Store? If the customer needs help requesting a refund for their purchase of QuickBooks Self-Employed, they will need to contact Apple as Apple has not permitted companies the ability to process cancellations or refunds for apps purchased through the App Store. Customers can request refund directly from Google Play:
For apps and games:

  1. Open Google Play Store app
  2. Tap Menu > Account> Order History
  3. Select the app/game you would like to return
  4. Tap Refund to complete your request and uninstall the app

Customers can only return an app or game for a refund once. If they decided to re-subscribe to QuickBooks Self-Employed, they will no longer get a refund.
Refund requests approval will take 15 minutes to 2 business days.
