Account management
I've got you covered, singonki.
We'll first need to export your QuickBooks Online (QBO) data to QuickBooks Desktop for Windows. Then, convert them to Mac (MAC.qbb).
Before moving your files to the Mac version, please consider taking these notes:
- You need to use a Windows computer with Internet Explorer 11 or higher when exporting your data file.
- QuickBooks Desktop for Windows must be the same version or earlier than Mac. For example, if you are exporting to QuickBooks for Mac 2016, you need to use QuickBooks for Windows 2016 or earlier versions.
- Make sure QBDT for Windows is updated to the latest release before converting the file to Mac.
For the version of QBDT you'll need, please click the reference: Download a trial of QuickBooks Desktop. It provides license and product numbers you can enter upon installing the sample file.
To guide you in moving your data, refer to the steps below.
- Open your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), and go to File.
- Select Close Company and leave QBDT open while completing all the steps.
- Follow Steps 2-5 when moving your QBO data to QBDT for Windows.
- Once everything's all set and verified the data that is exported correctly, you can now convert QuickBooks for Windows file to QuickBooks for Mac (MAC.qbb).
