First commonwealth new bank connection
It’s giving me a warning on the app that there’s a new way to update the bank accounts and that the old way is going away soon. Every time I sign into my back account through there, it just constantly reloads and glitches. I’ve tried everything I could think of. Any suggestions?

I've got your back, @HollSocc.
Let me help you sign in to your bank account again in QuickBooks Online (QBO) Apps.
The old way of signing in to your bank through the app is yet to depart from the system, which means this should let you sign in.
To fix this, let's start by logging in to your bank's website. Then, look for updates about new credentials needed to sign in to a third-party app or any maintenance notice.
If there are none, we'll perform basic troubleshooting steps on your mobile device and the app. First, restart your phone to refresh the device system. After that, ensure the mobile app is updated.
Once done, refresh your data in the app. Make sure you're device is connected to the internet. For iOS users, follow the steps below:
- Hover your cursor to Settings, then select General.
- Click iPhone Storage, then tap the QuickBooks Online app.
- Choose Offload App. This will free up the storage without deleting your app's documents and data.
If your phone has an Android operating system. Here's how:
- From the Menu ☰, tap More Options ⋮.
- Go to Settings, then Refresh Data.
- Click YES to confirm.
Check out this article for more info: See your latest data in the QuickBooks Online app.
On the other hand, you can log in through the web and manually upload your bank transactions to your QuickBooks account.
You might want to learn which QBO App features are supported on mobile devices. Feel free to read this article: Compare mobile app features.
Let me know if you have additional queries about banking connection to your mobile app. I'll be willing to lend a hand. Have a good one.

If the same error persists, you can use MT Online or one of the converter tools (e.g csv2qbo @ $60 one time license) as a workaround.

Thanks for checking the error on your end, @HollSocc. I can see you have challenges with the connection option under the Banking page in the QuickBooks Online Mobile application.
For now, try logging in using the web browser and downloading transactions manually since the option within the QBO app isn't possible on your end.
Follow the steps below:
- On the left pane, select the Banking menu.
- Choose the blue tile for the account you want to upload the transactions into.
- Click the Link account ▼ dropdown and then Upload from the file.
- Select the Drag and drop or select files.
- Follow the onscreen instructions.
For additional reference, visit this article for your guide: Manually upload transactions into QuickBooks Online.
If the error persists, it would be best to contact our support team. This way, they can review and investigate your account further and provide potential remedies to the issue.
Additionally, here's an article that will guide you through categorizing transactions and reconciling your account.
- Categorize online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online.
- Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.
Following the steps above will allow you to receive updates on the available fix. If you have any specific questions or need assistance with a particular topic, feel free to ask, and I'll do my best to help you.
