Account management

I appreciate you for returning to this thread, HOME2. I'm joining here to provide further clarification about updating the EFTPS password and PIN in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

I see that you're used to updating the PIN and password in your QuickBooks Desktop manually to match your new EFTPS password from their website. QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) and QBO have different ways of paying your taxes and forms. Unlike QBDT, QBO doesn't require a password as long as the initial setup is done correctly and all the information entered, such as bank details, are accurate.

Thus, you'll only have to update your PIN and password on the EFTPS website. Any changes you make on the EFTPS site will automatically reflect in your QBO account, which doesn't require you to enter your password. This streamlines your process.

If you'll consider using E-services, you wouldn't need EFTPS. QuickBooks pays and file your taxes and forms electronically for you. You can visit this article for an overview of the payroll taxes and forms we handle for you: Understand the taxes and forms that Intuit submits for you
