Employees and payroll

Good day to you, @JeanieK. I'm here to help you delete a payroll liability adjustment in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

You're correct that you cannot delete a line item of the payroll liability adjustment and leave the entry blank. However, if you need to delete an entire record of your incorrect liability adjustment, you can press the CTRL + D from the Liability Adjustment window to delete the transaction.

Alternatively, you can follow the following steps to delete it:

  1. Go to Employees, then Payroll Taxes and Liabilities
  2. Choose Adjust Payroll Liabilities.
  3. Click the Previous button until you find the liability adjustment you want to delete.
  4. Once you find the transaction you want to delete, click the Edit button in the menu bar.
  5. Select the Delete Liability Adjust (Ctrl+D) option.

For more details about this process, refer to this article: Adjust payroll liabilities in QuickBooks Desktop Payroll.

Additionally, you can check out this article to learn more about viewing your payroll tax payments and forms in QBDT: Access payroll tax forms and tax payments.

Let me know if you have other payroll-related issues or questions about QuickBooks. I'll be glad to help you out. Have a great day!
