Employees and payroll

Hey there, @pageofarms.

It's a pleasure to see you here in the Community. I can share some information about changing pay period dates of printed paychecks on QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Currently, QBO doesn't have the option to change or edit a pay period of a paycheck once created. However, you can delete and recreate the paycheck instead as a workaround. To do this, you can pull up the Paycheck List report to see all the paychecks that you've created. Here's how:

1. Go to the Reports menu at the left pane, then type Paycheck List on the search bar.
2. Click the Funnel icon drop-down to choose a date.
3. Put a check mark on the paychecks you need to delete, then select Delete.

Once done, you can now recreate the paychecks with the correct pay periods. Here's how:

1. Go to Workers menu at the left pane, then select the Employees tab.
2. Click Run payroll on the upper right, then pick an employee.
3. Enter the necessary information.
4. Select Preview payroll, then Submit payroll.
5. Print the paychecks by clicking Print pay stubs, then Finish payroll.

To know more about what can and can't be edited on a paycheck in QBO, you may check out this article: Edit or delete paychecks in Online Payroll.

I can see how this feature would be helpful for you and your business and I encourage you to submit feedback. These requests and suggestions are forwarded to the Product Development Team for consideration in future updates. You can submit this from within QuickBooks Online by selecting the Gear icon and Feedback or by going to the following link: QuickBooks Online Feature Requests. I'm going to submit feedback from my side as well.

That's it! Please let me know how it goes or if I can be of additional assistance. I'm only a post away should you have any questions. Enjoy the rest of the day.
