I'm here to provide details in setting up Child Support in QuickBooks Online.
To begin, you may follow these steps to set up a Wage Garnishment:
- Go to the Payroll menu and then select the Employees tab.
- Locate the employee's name and then click the name.
- Under Does this employee have any deductions?, click the pencil icon to edit a deduction, or click Add a new deduction to add one.
- Select Garnishment from the Deduction/contribution drop-down menu and then choose Child/Spousal Support as a Garnishment type.
- Enter the garnishment details.
- Click OK.
Once done setting up, QuickBooks will only deduct the garnishment from your employees' earnings. Then, you'll be the one to send the check to the relevant party.
