In QuickBooks Online, (QBO) we can only set up a regular payroll schedule where we create a regular paycheck. Though you'll have to manually enter the payroll information, taxes are automatically calculated for you.
For the benefits you'll get if you subscribe to QuickBooks Payroll Service, your Payroll monitors, and updates your federal, state, and local taxes so you don't have to. Then, it easier to manage payroll and you'll get helpful email reminders from us so your taxes and forms are always on time. You can file forms and pay taxes electronically or, you can let us do it with Assisted or Full Service Payroll.

If you need to pay yourself on an irregular schedule, we can enter it as a Journal entry transaction. I'd suggest contacting your accountant on what posting account you'll need to apply. See Manually enter payroll paychecks in QucikBooks Online article for more details about this one.
