viewing paystubs
My employer sends me emails of my pay stubs, and I can't open them since they contain an embedded password when trying to open it using an acrobat reader. My employer doesn't know the password or how to disable it.
I've had my employer print the pay stub out, then scan and email a copy of it to me.

Employees and payroll
Greetings, @Anonymous.
May I ask which online paycheck product are you trying to access? Was it QuickBooks Workforce (formerly ViewMyPaycheck) or Paycheck Records?
If you're using Paycheck Records, here's how to reset your employee's log in for pay stub access:
- Visit: https://www.paycheckrecords.com.
- Click on Forgot Password link.
- Enter your user ID or email address, then click Continue.
Once completed, you’ll receive and email notification containing a temporary password and login instructions.
If you’re unable to reset your password successfully, you may let your employer reset it for you. Here’s how:
- Go to Employee’s tab.
- Choose the employee name.
- In the Paycheck Records access section, select Edit.
- Click Reset Password.
On the other hand, if you’re using QuickBooks Workforce, here’s how to reset your password:
- Go to: https://workforce.intuit.com/app/payroll-employee-portal-ui/ius/sign-in.
- Click on I forgot my password.
- Enter your user name, email address or phone number, then click Continue.
- Follow the on-screen instruction to complete the process.
That should do it! This will allow you to view your pay stubs.
Keep in touch with us here in the Community if you have other questions about viewing your pay stubs. I’m always here to help.

I can help you log in to your QuickBooks Workforce account, Kskowyra.
You may consider resetting your login credentials via the sign-in page. Just click on the I forgot my user ID or password link so you can enter a new one. I'll show you how:
- Go to this link https://workforce.intuit.com/app/payroll-employee-portal-ui/ius/sign-in
- Click on I forgot my user ID and password.
- Enter your email address used by your employer during your first sign-up.
- You'll receive an account recovery email.
- Access your email and click Reset password.
If you can't still log in, I would recommend contacting your employer to reset your Workforce access.
Here are articles for additional reference that provide more information about inviting and viewing paychecks:
- Invite your employees to QuickBooks Workforce to see pay stubs, W-2s and more.
- View your paychecks and W-2s in QuickBooks Workforce.
I'm just a click away if you need anything else.
