I am sad reading your response to this question. It doesn't make sense. The downside of not having ability to record partial remittance payment can affect the T4 reporting specially if the partial payment happens somewhere close to calendar yearend. In case this hasn't come to QBO's attention, section of the T4 summary shows total payments. If the total remittance for the year aren't fully paid this should show on the T4 summary as amount owing and should be included in the file submitted to CRA upon T4 submission. Creating JE will not correct this issue, so your suggestion to prepare journal entries is a little misleading.
Can you bring this to the software developers for enhancement please?
