Each new update includes all the changes from earlier updates.
If you have automatic updates turned on, QuickBooks will download updates for you. You can check for updates manually at any time.
Release 15 (R15) - June 2022
Assisted Payroll 401(k) |
You can setup a Guideline 401(k) from within QuickBooks Desktop Payroll. Forms are preset with employee/company info. Contributions are sent automatically to Guideline with no extra steps for you. Only available in QuickBooks Desktop Assisted Payroll. |

Release 13 (R13) - October 2021
Intuit account login |
Improved the Intuit account login prompts to better explain the value of features and services enabled in your Intuit account. |
Ease of upgrade |
- Support seamless upgrade from 32-bit Omega16 to 64-bit PhoenixR3.
- Block upgrade on 32-bit OS.
- Repair QuickBooks 2022 when you select 32-bit Omega for uninstall.

Release 12 (R12) - June 2021
User Management |
- In QuickBooks Enterprise, Non Admin users with the Accounts Payable role can send a Request for Access (RFA) to the Primary Admin to join the company file Intuit account.
- Intuit account sign in by Primary or Secondary Admin will be prompted while using Reset Intuit ID.
The Intuit account will be disconnected from the company file for the QuickBooks Admin who:
- Linked the Intuit account to the Company File before Dec 2019.
- Hasn’t signed into the Intuit account for more than 180 days, despite three email reminders.

Discovery Hub |

Issue Fixes |
- Fixed an issue that prevented opening memorized reports created in QuickBooks 2018. Performing a Rebuild Data after updating to this release repairs memorized reports.
- Fixed an issue where invoices would show incorrect balance amount when a credit memo was applied and then unapplied from the invoice.

Release 11 (R11) - February 2021
User Management |
- For Accountant versions, when creating a new company file with QuickBooks 2020, the Admin will be prompted to login to their Intuit Account.
- When opening an existing Company File, the Admin will be prompted to sign in to their Intuit account. This change is already in place for non-accountant versions.
- Intuit account Primary Admin can change the Primary Admin from QuickBooks. Select Company, Users, and then Intuit Account User Management.

Bug Fixes |
- Fixed an issue where your 1099-NEC Memorized report didn't warn you when using unsupported dates. 1099-NEC Memorized report will prompt you to change your date range from 1/1/2020 to 12/31/2020.
- Fixed an issue causing the Process Payment Receipt window to show incorrectly for low-resolution displays.
- Fixed an issue causing a Sales Receipt out of balance error when recalculating tax after making sales tax item nontaxable.

1099 Misc E-Filing through Intuit |
QuickBooks Desktop customers can now efile 1099 Misc forms via an Intuit service, in addition to the Tax 1099 service. |

- Fixed an error where the "See History" link for an invoice appeared blank because credits were applied to it.
- Fixed an issue that caused the prior invoice number to appear when recording a bounced check against a specific invoice
- Fixed the issue that caused an error while sending a sales receipt email for E-check payment.

- Added the option to choose the print bill functionality with or without Landed cost.
- You can filter Shipping and Handling bills using the bill status.

Payroll Liability Reminder |
- You can set up reminders/alerts for payroll liability due dates in third party applications like MS Outlook, Google Calendar, iCalendar and Windows Calendar. You can also export these events in .ics files which can be imported into any calendar application.

- Fixed an issue which showed incorrect results in the income or bill tracker filtering transactions by 'Last Fiscal YTD'.
- Fixed an issue where PO number field entered on an invoice appears blank when transactions for a given customer are exported as a report.
- Fixed an issue where multiple email addresses in the main email field for a customer were not getting imported using IIF Import.
- Customers who receive combined email for multiple invoices with payment links can now see the correct due date for the invoices.
