Hi mdj101, we're not aware of any specific latency issue with this - if you have a large volume of customer contacts, this may take slightly longer than usual to load. To troubleshoot further, please see our guide with tips to improve performance in QBO. :woman_technologist:

We don't have that many customers. Just a hundred or so, So it's not that. 

The slow data entry only appears when adding a new customer from the invoice screen the same window in just the customer screen is fine. So it's got to be something your end.
