Hi Yorky, thanks for posting here - we're sorry for any confusion caused by this. We began sharing details of the discontinuation of QuickBooks Desktop for UK users last year through email to all registered users and on our website. The original deadline was January 2023 however we extended access until 30th June 2023 to provide ample time for customers based on feedback. This extension also included continuing access to our dedicated desktop support team through to 30 June.

You have to use the service provided by MMB to convert data to QBO. If you want to convert data with specific requirements (e.g multi currency, estimate, purchase order, attachments) to QB Online or another accounting app, you should consider buying another 3rd party conversion service.

Yes access to dedicated support team is going but we were told that we could continue using the current desktop albeit without support and now this seems to not be an option.

You can convert data to QB Online or Xero, and purchase a 3rd party conversion service if required. Then use a 3rd party manufacturing app to sync with one of them.

Other Questions
Thank you but we have been exploring all this for some time now and none of this works for our company. We are not alone, there are so many companies who have been with QB in excess of 25 years where these options don't allow for a streamlined system like we have at present with desktop. None of us should have to buy "add ons" or synchronise anything. QB don't want our business anymore, they don't have to retain staff to deal with desktop - they want the simplicity of the one man band businesses which is fine but loyal desktop users should have been accommodated too. Anyway I'm like a scratched record on this subject so no point in going over old ground.
